It's official! Ashley is fourteen! I can't believe she is going to be in high school next year. She is really excited and I can't wait to see all she will accomplish. She works so hard and we are so proud of her.
All she wanted for her birthday was for her friend, Haley from Texas to come and visit and this book pictured above. When she wanted Haley to come for Christmas, we framed a picture of her and wrapped it up for her to open. She thought it was pretty funny but for her birthday, she wanted the real thing. So, we decided that with some of our tax money we would get Haley here sometime toward the end of July into August!
For dinner we let her pick where she wanted to go and she picked The Japanese Steakhouse (I love tax time)! The first thing she said to me when we walked in was, "Don't tell them it's my birthday." Little did she know that her dad had already told them when he made the reservation. So when they came out with a balloon and candles on a cake, we got the glare! So got over it fast though:) Daniel was so excited that he went and gave her the biggest hug. We sat at the table with another family that had a little girl. Ashley took the little girl her balloon and her last piece of cake. That little girl was so happy.

On a different note, a couple of weeks ago Nathan got to go target shooting. There is a man in our church that owns alot of land and has targets and tree stands for hunting. He invited Nathan to come and that is pretty much all we have heard about. He even did a little gun safety course with him. He loved it and now keeps asking to go hunting. He is a good shot! Grandpa will be proud!
